Grow a Garden Timeless Roots Quest: Chilli Mango Guide
Quick answer: Timeless Roots is Grow a Garden’s quest for The Hunt: Roblox 20 (Sept 17 to Sept 28, 2026). Talk to Sam on Tree Island, steal 50 fruits from the Wise Owl garden on Owl Island, deliver them to Sam for a Chilli Mango seed, then plant and fully grow that tree to unlock the Timeless Roots badge. Return to the Hunt hub for the Grown From a Garden UGC. Separate from Fall Market / Wise Tree Blooms. Official game: official Grow a Garden page on Roblox. Last verified September 25, 2026.
You have only a few days left if you have not finished the grow step. Fall Market players: do not confuse the Wise Owl with the Fall Market Wise Tree / Harvest Spirit. Live hub: current events.
Direct Answer
- Event: The Hunt: Roblox 20 (platform anniversary). Grow a Garden = 2025 stage.
- Window: about September 17 to September 28, 2026. Finish before close.
- Loop: Sam (Tree Island) → steal Owl garden fruit → deliver until 50 → Chilli Mango seed.
- Badge unlocks only after the Chilli Mango tree is fully grown in your garden.
- Then claim Grown From a Garden from the Hunt hub.
- Not Fall Bloom. Not GAG2 Fall Harvest.
Is Timeless Roots still live today?
As of September 25, 2026, yes. The Hunt window is still open until September 28, 2026. Fall Market Part 1 is also live on GAG1. Tomorrow (Saturday) is the usual ~2 PM UTC patch slot: watch for Fall Market Part 2 or admin weather, but finish Chilli Mango growth first if the badge is still missing.
Admin / Saturday outlook: admin events schedule. Year-round nights: Night, Blood Moon, Meteor Shower.
Step-by-step: Timeless Roots quest
- Enter Grow a Garden from The Hunt hub or launch the original game while Hunt is active.
- Find Sam on Tree Island and start the quest.
- Cross to Owl Island (far side of the map, past keep-out sign) while the Wise Owl sleeps.
- Steal fruit from the Owl’s garden only. Normal Collect works more reliably than rapid-harvest.
- Each carried crop slows walk speed by about 2. Take smaller batches if you keep getting caught.
- Deliver fruit to Sam. Repeat until the counter reads 50 / 50.
- Claim the Chilli Mango seed from Sam.
- Plant it in a free garden plot. Leaving it in inventory does not finish the quest.
- Wait until the Chilli Mango tree is fully grown. That awards Timeless Roots.
- Return to The Hunt: Roblox 20 hub and claim Grown From a Garden.
Rewards
| Reward | How you get it | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Chilli Mango seed | After 50 fruit deliveries to Sam | Also spelled Chili Mango in some posts |
| Timeless Roots badge | Fully grow the planted Chilli Mango | Seed alone is not enough |
| Grown From a Garden UGC | Hunt hub after badge / stage complete | Avatar accessory for the 2025 stage |
Price the fruit once it exists with the crop calculator (Custom base if the picker is missing a row). Mutation stacks: mutation calculator / mutations list.
Wise Owl tips (so you finish before Sept 28)
- Only Owl Island garden fruit counts. Your own plots do not.
- Prefer short trips over max carry weight so the Owl chase does not wipe a run.
- If Collect fails to register, stop using the rapid-harvest bind for these pickups.
- Plant the seed the same session you unlock it. Growth time is the real soft lock.
- Do not wait for Saturday Part 2 rumors to start the quest.
Fall Market vs The Hunt (do not mix them)
| System | NPC / loop | Currency / goal |
|---|---|---|
| Fall Market 2026 | Wise Tree / Harvest Spirit + Fall Bloom | Sheckles stalls, Bloom unlocks |
| Timeless Roots (Hunt) | Sam + Wise Owl fruit steals | Badge + Chilli Mango + UGC |
| GAG2 Fall Harvest | Explorer Ethan world | Leaves / Magic Mail (different game) |

This weekend plan (Sept 25 to 28)
- Friday to Sunday: finish Timeless Roots if the badge is missing.
- Saturday ~2 PM UTC: check Discord / in-game banner for Fall Market Part 2 or admin abuse.
- Keep Fall Bloom contributions going between Hunt trips if you still need Space Squirrel / Maple Resin unlocks.
- Codes after a patch: active codes.
- New players who landed here cold: beginners guide then return to Hunt steps.
